Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Use any type of pasta you like. The original recipe uses chicken fillet, but other boneless chicken pieces will also work.
Step 2
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the package instructions until tender. Drain in a colander, rinse with cold water and leave to drain thoroughly.
Step 3
Peel and roughly chop the onion. Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces. Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the onion, then add the chicken.
Step 4
Cook the onion and chicken together over low to medium heat for 5–7 minutes. Season lightly with salt and your preferred spices.
Step 5
Combine the cooked chicken and onion with the pasta.
Step 6
Lightly grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and transfer the pasta and chicken mixture into it.
Step 7
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs. Season with salt and spices. Add a little dried herbs if desired.
Step 8
Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over the pasta.
Step 9
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top. Add a little paprika if desired. Bake in an oven preheated to 355°F for 20–30 minutes, adjusting the time according to your oven.
Step 10
When the top is lightly browned and the filling is set, remove the baking dish from the oven. Divide between plates and serve hot.
