Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. You can use any boneless part of the chicken.
Step 2
Cut the chicken into small pieces and place in a bowl. Add the soy sauce and your favorite spices, mix well and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.
Step 3
Peel the potatoes. Lightly grease the bottom and sides of a heatproof baking dish with vegetable oil. Cut the potatoes into rounds, arrange them evenly over the bottom of the dish and season lightly with salt.
Step 4
Arrange the marinated chicken fillet over the potatoes.
Step 5
Peel the onion, cut it into rounds and distribute evenly over the chicken.
Step 6
Cut the tomatoes into rounds and arrange them over the onion. Cover the dish with foil and bake in an oven preheated to 390°F for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the foil and sprinkle everything with grated cheese. Return the uncovered dish to the oven for another 15–20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender, the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese has melted.
Step 8
Remove the dish from the oven and serve hot. A fresh vegetable salad makes a good accompaniment.
